The christmas decorations are handmade by Laura EllaKirk to her own designs and make a beautiful addition to any Christmas tree.

 

The fused glass snowmen start as sheets of glass, Laura cuts, shapes, layers and arranges the selected bits of glass into the desired design and then fuses them in a glass kiln to melt the bits of glass together. The snowmen are then hung on colourful thick thread ready for a Christmas tree. A selection can be seen below.

 

The resin Christmas decorations are made in tree or snowflake molds. Laura collects all the shells from Firemore Beach and the heather from the hills surrounding her Highland home, or uses bright Christmas glitter and arranges the chosen items into the desired design and then casts them into resin through a complex process. The pieces are then finished by being hand-sanded, hung and displayed in a window box in sets of six. A selection can be seen below.
